Caucasian Spiders

We set up this database to promote arachnological research in the Caucasus and make available information on the distribution, diversity, conservational aspects as well as the taxonomy of the Caucasian spiders. As only extensive faunistical data can form the basis for such a work, we included the records found in publications concerning spiders in the Caucasus region. Based on these data we provide the following information on Caucasian spiders:

• checklists & species counts for each country
• a list and a map of published records for each species
• the bibliography for each species
• the complete (?) bibliography of Caucasian spiders

planned implementations:

• checklists for geophysical regions (e. g. Great Caucasus, Armenian Upland, etc.)
• a search function for synonyms, places, etc.
• a biogeographical analysis, rates of endemism, etc.
